Sign the Petition in Defense of Puerto Rico’s Community Cats

ON OCTOBER 1, The United States National Park Service (NPS) will begin its cruel plan to round up community cats living peacefully in Puerto Rico. Cats WILL be killed if the NPS is not stopped.

SIGN THE PETITION: Tell the NPS to immediately halt its deadly plan against the Paseo del Morro cats. Then, share the petition far and wide.

Alley Cat Allies recently won a critical legal victory against the NPS and its horrific scheme to eradicate community cats living on the Paseo del Morro, a famous trail, and all of San Juan National Historic Site. We filed a historic lawsuit in March and we continue our fight today and for as long as it takes. We will not back down with these cats’ lives on the line.

However, the NPS is pushing forward even when the court hasn’t determined its plan is lawful. Disturbingly, the NPS is already soliciting applications from organizations to remove the cats.

Alley Cat Allies is demanding the NPS stop immediately and is taking all action available. WATCH THE VIDEO, sign the petition, and find more ways you can join our fight at alleycat.org/PuertoRico.

Orchid and Aster Blossom After Rescue

Meet Orchid and Aster—you saved their lives!

Alley Cat Allies saved this brother and sister from inhumane conditions in a shelter. They were dehydrated and suffering from URIs, but perked up quickly once we provided them with critical veterinary care.

Today, Orchid and Aster are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed like every healthy kitten should be. Our incredible donors like you made it all possible—and you help us protect even more cats and kittens every day.

We’ll keep you updated on this duo’s progress. They’re very bonded, so we look forward to finding them a forever home together!

Taking Top-Notch Care of Tippy

What started as a call through our Cat Help Desk became a long journey for Tippy. The shy tabby wasn’t eating, and his caregiver couldn’t determine why.

Alley Cat Allies immediately got to work to help Tippy, starting with a diagnosis and veterinary treatment. We discovered he has chronic kidney disease, and we’ve since taken over his care.

We’re doing all we can to ensure Tippy has the longest and happiest life possible. He’s doing well and loves his new catio space and toys!

Thank you for helping us provide access to care for cats like Tippy. Our supporters like you power every aspect of our work, and every life we save.

Opal Shines in Alley Cat Allies Care

She’s as beautiful as her namesake in both looks and personality—meet the lovely Opal!

Opal had already been through quite a lot when Alley Cat Allies rescued her from a shelter. She was dehydrated, anemic, and contending with a coccidia infection.

But, thanks to our supporters like you, we could provide her with the medical care she needed. And despite everything, she’s as sweet as can be as she recovers in our care!

Thank you for helping us save Opal—she has many long, happy years ahead of her because of you!

If you’d like to help us protect more cats like Opal, consider giving today. Every gift, big or small, makes a lifesaving difference: alleycat.org/Donate.
